Overview

Make it for Market is a new and exciting program for 2020!

Specifically designed to engage learners on a learning pathway, this program will work with the seasons for food production and cultivation, gardening skills and drying and preserving food – students will participate in creative arts to produce goods for market!

Participants will learn sustainable living skills, creative arts and basic horticulture to make produce to potentially sell at markets, co-ops or to local restaurants, learning reading, writing and numeracy skills through these activities in a fun and friendly supportive environment. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their product at a special event or on market days.

Learners may wish to go on to gain employment, or enrol in other Pre-Accredited Programs such as;

Conducted for all prospective learners to determine the candidates desired outcomes from the course, their future aspirations and their current skills and experience. This information allows SGAE to individualise training for the learner ensuring appropriate delivery for success.

Participants will learn sustainable living skills, creative arts and basic horticulture to make produce to potentially sell at markets, co-ops or to local restaurants.  Participants will learn reading, writing and numeracy skills through these activities in a fun and friendly supportive environment. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their produce as Market days. Learners may wish to go on to further pre-accredited programs such as Personal Development Skills 1 and 2, Digital Skills or accredited programs such as Certificate I in Transition Education, Certificate I in Transition Education - Garden to Plate, Certificate I in Work Education, Certificate II in Adult Education or our Course in Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy.  They may also go on to gain employment.
