Independent Me – Living Skills
Meet new people, make new friends!
The program aims to help develop independent living skills in a fun and friendly environment.
This exciting new program encourages independence, supporting participants to make choices in everyday life and to participate in day-to-day life activities. It focusses on participants’ needs and wellbeing, empowering them to learn and maintain valuable skills for life.
Independent Me – Living Skills concentrates on broadening personal skills in relation to healthy eating and meal preparation, shopping tips for buying in-season food, budgeting, and money handling, along with other important living skills to assist participants to achieve their personal goals.
In order to be eligible to receive a service, participants must:
- Have available funding to receive supports from our service
- Have a disability
- Be 15 years of age or older

For further information about the NDIA go to www.ndis.gov.au or call 1800 800 110. Participants may also be funded under a ‘fee for service’ arrangement. This may be paid by the Department of Education, the participants/family’s own funds or other funds available to the participant. If you are not eligible for NDIA funding you may also be able to gain information from the Department of Human Services (DHHS) about other funding streams available to you. To contact DHS, call 1800 783 783. SGAE are unable to provide an immediate NDIS service to participants who do not have funding available, do not have a disability and have support needs which do not match our available capacity to support the individual. Pricing is determined by the NDIS Price Guide and will be confirmed upon enquiry. SGAE is a Registered NDIS Provider.
