Community VCAL is being offered by Southern Grampians Community College in 2012 and enrolments are now being taken for VCAL in Senior (Yr 12) Intermediate (Yr11) and Foundation levels.

Southern Grampians Community College has classrooms centrally located in Gray Street Hamilton and has provided Youth Education programs specialising in Literacy, Numeracy, Employability Skills as well as a range of Vocational subjects for over 10 years.

Classes are small and designed to meet the individual needs of students looking to pursue an applied approach to learning in their senior school age years.

Opportunities also exist for young people in their late teens or early 20’s to re-engage in learning through Community VCAL.

Community VCAL provides students with the opportunity to study English, Maths, Work Related Skills, Personal Development and a number of vocational subjects including Certificate 1 in Financial Services, Certificate 11 in Financial Services, Retail, Information Technology, Hospitality (Kitchen Operations) and Hospitality (Food and Beverages). Students also have the opportunity to pursue a range of other vocational areas.
